Crisis Point: Extinction - v.01

controls are as follows:

arrow keys - movement and aiming, struggle when knocked down/being raped
Z key - jump (hold down and press to jump through thin platforms)
X key - shoot (only 3 bullets are allowed onscreen at once)
C key - diagonal aim (holding this key forces you to aim diagonally, pressing up or down changes which direction)
H key - switch between fully clothed and half naked
E key - spawn blue enemy at mouse cursor
1/2/3 keys - switch between blaster upgrade levels
F4 - fullscreen
Escape - close

UPDATE LOG:

new features.. too many to remember, honestly. there's a pretty good chunk of stuff though, so i'll list off what i remember.

-basic enemy "chase" AI is implemented, though incomplete.
-the rape scene is fully functional, including struggling, escape, voices, sound effects, and enemy climax (the climax IS NOT FULLY ANIMATED yet, so no complaints about that, please.)
-double jumping
-finished jumping animation
-upgradable weapon, increases damage done per shot
-crouching system
-player can be knocked down; no health or deaths yet
-minor animation glitches fixed
-(partially incomplete) background art

there's still a bit of stuff missing, mainly with the half-clothed animations, but everything should be functioning perfectly (note that the tentacle plant doesn't do anything yet, it just animates).



thanks again to all of you on the blog for your words of support, and to those kind few of you who donated: you have my eternal gratitude! i'm feeling reinvigorated and motivated to keep working again, and i owe it all to you guys. these last couple of weeks have been rough, with one thing after another going wrong, but things are starting to look up!

  1. I didn't seem to find any "thin" platform I could drop from.

    A suggestion I have, is that each gun upgrade makes the shot faster. By doing that, you should decrease the blue shots speed, and let the red ones as they are now.

    Other than that, I didn't found any major bugs. The blue enemies surely are not finished, but the player animations, and rape animatios are really well done.

    I can't wait for the spitroast animations. Keep up the good work :D

    1. somebody already let me know the thin platforms weren't working, it's fixed now but i'm not gonna worry about updating the download. thanks, though.

      i've been thinking about extra ways to change the gun upgrade. i dunno if i want to do just a speed increase, but we'll see. i don't plan on leaving it JUST damage, though.

      anyway, glad you like everything so far. thanks for the feedback

    1. voice clips aren't temporary. i can make an option to turn them off, though. do you just not like the voice actress? or is there another problem?

    3. nah, i always knew giving Alicia a squeaky voice would be terrible for her, lol. she's in her mid-20s, she'd have a woman's voice, not a teenager's. i consider myself lucky to have been able to make it work as is. regardless, for the people complaining about the voice clips, i'll include an option to make them play less frequently, even though i'm not a fan of that myself.

  4. LOOK!! YOUR PROJECT IS STARTING TO TAKE FORM!!

    But i'm a little sad at noticing that some of my suggestions do not seem to have been considered (not to say all of them). The girl still looks like a table in her behind; also, her arms are very thin. Some new suggestions would be to improve the bullet distance upon powering up and change the gun's design. Also: make her move (breath) while standing :)

    1. seriously? if i made her ass any bigger she'd look ridiculous. i think you're the only one who still doesn't like her ass, i updated all of the poses and animations in a livestream and everybody was very happy with them. idk what kind of size you're looking for but i'm not gonna make it any bigger than it is now.

      as for changing her gun's design, also highly doubt that's going to happen, considering it would take dozens of new sprites. there are alternate ways i could do it to make it take less resources, but it would take some time to implement them and it wouldn't be a very noticeable detail. i haven't messed around with bullet distance yet because i haven't decided if i want that to be a thing or if the bullets should just be long-distance to begin with. it's a question of whether or not it would improve the game's design, and i haven't taken the time to sit down and think through it yet.

      i'm not going to bother animating the standing sprite right now. i established a while ago that i AM going to animate it, but it's not a priority at all - getting the game functional is more important. that's just detail work that can be added at any point during development without causing any issues. so for now, my focus remains elsewhere.

    2. That's perfect. Remember that i'm only "brainstorming" you, you read this and make the final decision ( they're only ideas :) ), no worries and please do not take my comments either personal or disrespectful :D.

      I play your demo every now and then. The butt does really need a retouch. it really looks flat.

      On the other hand, gameplay is superb so far, it proves that you are focused, colors are really cool, so keep it up!

      Bug: (on full screen mode) the character will disappear and not even the enemy will be able to see her. It happens randomly on single-jump.

    3. her ass is not flat. if you're looking at the standing sprite, then realize that her back is facing away from the screen. if i make her ass 'stick out' in the standing pose she'll look absolutely ridiculous, an average human ass - or even a big one for that matter - doesn't stick out anywhere near far enough to be visible from that angle.

      look at that picture. in the pose that model is standing in, her ass does not stick out - it's not until she's being viewed from the side or the back that her ass is really noticeable. hell, Alicia is facing even more towards the screen than that model is, so no her ass isn't going to stick out in that pose. and if you bother to pay attention to the running sprite, or the sex animation, or the jumping animation, or the knockdown pose - literally any other animation in the game - she's obviously got a nice ass. she doesn't need to look like an over-the-top hentai slut just to avoid looking "flat."

    4. Hey, i found that bug! :D

      All randomness aside, i haven't seen anything wrong with her anymore, you've touched up all the stuff you need to, to make her look good.

      Might be personal preference, but her nipples in the sex animation look really big. Not that it's bad looking, just the only noticeable thing that felt out of place. Most likely cause we aren't used to 'detailed' pixel sprites is why.

      Also like to note that the english hentai community and game makers are growing, and that this particular genre of porn games your getting into has grown a lot, and will continue to grow, so there will be disorder in the upcoming years as to what looks good and what doesn't to certain people.

      different yolk to different folks people,or something like that. :P

      btw, love the sex animation, it was done a lot better than i honestly thought it would be done for early v0.1 build, loving it. :D
